ENA’s upcoming drama Honour has offered a closer look at the shared past that binds its three central characters, as well as the origins of the law firm they built together.
Based on a Swedish series, Honour is a mystery thriller centered on three lawyers who confront a long-buried scandal. Lee Na Young, Jung Eun Chae, and Lee Chung Ah star as the founding partners of L&J (Listen and Join), a law firm dedicated to representing victims of crimes against women. Their partnership, however, is rooted in more than professional ambition—it stems from a bond formed over two decades of friendship since their university days.

Within the story, Yoon Ra Young, Kang Shin Jae, and Hwang Hyun Jin establish L&J as a space where victims are heard and supported. The firm’s name reflects this philosophy, echoing a belief expressed earlier by Yoon Ra Young: they wanted to become the kind of people they once desperately needed. This shared conviction hints at a formative experience that pushed all three women toward the same path.
At the heart of their connection lies a past incident that remains undisclosed but carries significant emotional weight. This secret appears to be the true foundation of their solidarity and the driving force behind the creation of L&J, binding the three women together in a way that goes beyond loyalty or friendship.

Lee Na Young described their relationship as a form of solidarity rooted in survival—one strengthened by the act of sharing and protecting a common secret. She noted that even when their bond is tested, the instinct to shield one another remains unshaken.
Jung Eun Chae highlighted the understated power of a 20-year friendship, marked by unspoken understanding and shared values. She suggested that the characters’ similar dispositions naturally lead them to the same place, adding that every story begins with both tragedy and unity.

For Lee Chung Ah, the core of their connection is simpler yet more urgent: the desire to protect one another. She explained that while many emotions exist within love and friendship, what ultimately sustains their bond is the determination to keep each other safe, quietly guiding every choice they make.
According to the production team, the solidarity portrayed in Honour will feel both intimate and unsettling at times. As the narrative unfolds, viewers will gradually discover how the incident from 20 years ago continues to shape the present-day story of L&J.
