tvN’s upcoming drama My Favorite Employee (literal title) has officially confirmed its main cast. On January 29, the production announced that Kang Hoon, Kim Hye Joon, and Cha Woo Min will lead the series, drawing considerable attention from viewers.

Based on a popular webtoon, the drama tells the story of Nam Da Reum, who joins a company solely to meet her long-time favorite idol, and her unexpected romance with the company’s CEO, Kang Ha Gi.

Kang Hoon will play Kang Ha Gi, the CEO of the fashion startup Apello. He is portrayed as someone who appears cold on the outside but is warm-hearted on the inside—an accomplished and capable leader who runs the company with strict standards and a meticulous work style. However, his normally calm and controlled routine begins to change after the arrival of a new rookie employee.

Kim Hye Joon takes on the role of Nam Da Reum, a newly hired employee at Apello who quickly catches Kang Ha Gi’s attention. She is an 11-year fan of the idol Lee Chan and even turns down an offer from a major corporation just to join Apello and get closer to her “bias.” What she expects to be the start of turning her passion into a career, however, becomes a challenging first step into working life as she unexpectedly becomes entangled with CEO Kang Ha Gi.

Cha Woo Min will portray Lee Chan, Nam Da Reum’s “eternal favorite” idol. Having successfully reinvented himself from idol to actor and eventually into a symbolic figure of the era, Lee Chan seems to have everything, yet lives with a loneliness unknown to others. As his activities expand to the point of becoming a director at Apello, he ends up coming face-to-face with his own fan in a place he never expected.

In addition, ITZY’s Yuna has previously been confirmed to join the cast, playing a top actress in the drama.

My Favorite Employee is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2026.
