Netflix has released new stills from its upcoming romance film “Pavane” ahead of the premiere. Based on Park Min Gyu’s best-selling novel Pavane for a Dead Princess, the film follows three young adults who struggle to accept themselves and gradually learn to face life and love through their connection with one another.

“Pavane” centers on emotionally guarded individuals, each carrying personal wounds. As their paths cross, they find comfort in shared moments of silence and companionship, eventually becoming subtle sources of light in each other’s lives. Their encounters mark the beginning of personal growth and emotional awakening.

Go Ah Sung stars as Mi Jung, a young woman with a quiet presence and an air of distance. Avoiding the uneasy gazes of others, she works alone in the dim basement of a department store, a setting that reflects her emotional isolation and hints at a story shaped by withdrawal and restraint.

Byun Yo Han plays Yo Han, a free-spirited character who stands out with his blond hair and love for rock music. While his outward appearance suggests individuality and ease, another still shows him deep in thought, writing with a serious expression, revealing a more introspective side beneath the surface.

Moon Sang Min appears as Gyeong Rok, a young man who has temporarily set aside his dreams to confront reality. Skateboarding with earphones on and wearing a David Bowie T-shirt, he embodies youthful emotion and quiet uncertainty. As he continues to approach Mi Jung, a subtle bond begins to form between them.

Through her growing closeness with Gyeong Rok, Mi Jung starts to recognize a light within herself that she had never acknowledged before, adding a gentle coming-of-age tone to the film’s romance. Yo Han, who naturally connects with both characters, serves as the emotional link that binds the trio together.

“Pavane” is scheduled for release on Netflix on February 20.
