The modern workplace drama No Pain No Gain is set to premiere on January 31, 2026. Led by Peng Yuchang and Lin Yun, with a large ensemble cast including Liu Guanlin, Wang Tianfang, He Ruixian, Wu Junting, Chang Long, Ye Zuxin, Yang Xinming, and Yue Yang, the series approaches the themes of employment and entrepreneurship through a comedic and unconventional lens.
The story follows Pei Qian, an employee at a major corporation who finds himself suddenly laid off. At his lowest point, he receives an unexpected offer from a mysterious figure to establish a company with one unusual condition: it must aim to operate at a loss. In an effort to fulfill this requirement, Pei Qian intentionally hires an unreliable team, raises salaries, expands benefits, and invests in projects widely considered impractical or risky.
Contrary to his intentions, these seemingly flawed decisions lead to repeated successes. The company continues to generate profits, and Pei Qian becomes known among his staff as a conscientious employer and within the industry as an unlikely business prodigy. Unable to escape the momentum he never planned for, he is compelled to keep steering the company forward, eventually transforming it into the leading enterprise in the region.
According to the officially released viewing schedule, members will receive the first three episodes at 12:00 p.m. on January 31, followed by two episodes released daily at 6:00 p.m. Beginning February 5, the release schedule will shift to one episode per evening at 6:00 p.m., with the finale expected on February 17.
