The Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) has announced its list of composers and lyricists promoted to full membership for 2026, featuring several prominent artists from the Korean music industry.

On January 29, KOMCA revealed through its official website that artists including i-dle’s Yuqi, DAY6’s Young K, singer-songwriter Stella Jang, and veteran musician Bae Chul Soo have been promoted to full members of the association. The selection was made by KOMCA’s board of directors based on factors such as length of membership and accumulated copyright royalties.
Young K became the first member of DAY6 to achieve full membership, while Yuqi earned the distinction as the second member of i-dle to do so, following Jeon Soyeon, reflecting her growing involvement in songwriting and composition.
The newly promoted list also includes GIGI, Han Won Tak, KAKO, GHSTLOOP, JUNNY, MILLENNIUM, ASTROZ, Big Sancho, and Kang Hwa Seong, representing a wide range of musical backgrounds and creative roles.
In addition, Busker Busker’s Jang Bum Jun, 10CM’s Kwon Jung Yeol, and Sunwoo JungA were reinstated as full members in accordance with KOMCA regulations, having previously held the status.
Under KOMCA’s system, all copyright holders may join as junior members, but only 30 individuals are selected each year to be promoted to full membership based on established criteria.
