On February 4, 2026, the drama Today, I Still Didn’t Turn Into a Doll, starring Chen Duling and Chen Jingke, officially held its filming kickoff ceremony in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. The event drew a large crowd, with fans gathering enthusiastically at the venue.

At the ceremony, Chen Duling appeared with long straight black hair styled in a princess cut. Her pale makeup and curled posture in a wheelchair created a striking contrast, while the subtle, sharp smile she revealed conveyed the character’s inner complexity. Chen Jingke, dressed in a black uniform, stood steadily behind her, his composed gaze and upright figure reinforcing the visual dynamic between the two leads.

In the series, Chen Duling plays Bai Youwei, a brilliant yet psychologically fragile young woman. Set in the year 2055, the story depicts a world where the sudden arrival of the “Doll World” forces humanity into a series of survival games. Anyone who refuses to participate or fails to clear a stage is turned into a doll.

Despite being physically disabled, Bai Youwei leads a team made up of society’s most vulnerable members through more than ten deadly game stages, including challenges inspired by “The Tortoise and the Hare.” As the narrative unfolds, she evolves from a withdrawn individual into the strategic core of the group, forming a partnership with Shen Mo, portrayed by Chen Jingke. Together, they navigate a post-apocalyptic landscape shaped by human nature, moral conflict, and personal redemption.
