Park Min Young has shared further insight into her upcoming drama Siren’s Kiss, shedding light on her character and creative approach.
Siren’s Kiss is a romance thriller centered on an insurance fraud investigation involving a series of mysterious deaths. Each victim has one thing in common: they all fell in love with the same woman before dying. Wi Ha Joon stars as Cha Woo Seok, an investigator relentlessly pursuing the truth, while Park Min Young plays Han Seol Ah, the enigmatic woman believed to be at the center of the case.

The drama has drawn significant attention as Park Min Young’s return to tvN following the success of Marry My Husband, as well as her first foray into the thriller genre. Speaking about reuniting with the network, Park Min Young said she was happy to work with tvN again after receiving so much love for her previous project. She added that taking on a genre she has never tried before made her curious and excited about viewers’ reactions.
Describing Han Seol Ah, Park Min Young referred to her as “a woman locked inside a block of ice.” The character carries a chilling past, having lost every man who ever loved her. Unable to blame anyone else for the strange events surrounding her, Han Seol Ah isolates herself and continues living within her own confined world.

Park Min Young also focused on portraying the character’s duality. On the surface, Han Seol Ah is a confident and capable chief auctioneer, but when alone, she transforms into a somber and mysterious figure. To further distinguish the role, Park Min Young revealed that she adopted a lower vocal tone with a slightly breathy quality for the first time in her career.

As a viewing point, she recommended that audiences follow the unfolding incidents surrounding Han Seol Ah and observe how the truth gradually comes to light, without prior spoilers. She emphasized that the drama carries deeper thematic weight and encourages viewers to watch with full attention.
Siren’s Kiss is scheduled to premiere on March 2 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
