The upcoming drama “Mad Concrete Dreams” has released its first stills featuring Ha Jung Woo in character, offering an early look into the series’ intense narrative.

“Mad Concrete Dreams” is a thriller that follows a struggling landlord who becomes entangled in crime while attempting to protect his family and property. Although he achieves the long-sought status of owning a building, overwhelming debt forces him into participating in a staged kidnapping. What begins as a calculated plan soon spirals out of control, as the fabricated crime turns dangerously real.

Ha Jung Woo stars as Ki Soo Jong, a family man who risks everything by purchasing an old building through heavy loans, only to find himself crushed by debt. Pinning his hopes on redevelopment, he dreams of financial redemption. However, when his building is threatened with seizure, Ki Soo Jong is pushed into a desperate and emotionally charged struggle to save what he has sacrificed his life for.

The newly released stills depict Ki Soo Jong’s modest daily routine, sharply contrasting with the glamorous image often associated with property ownership. In order to pay mounting loan interest, he works part-time as a delivery driver, living day by day under relentless pressure. Despite owning no luxurious high-rise, his careful attention to the aging building reflects his belief that it represents his final chance to rise.

As the story unfolds, viewers will witness what dangers encroach upon the building Ki Soo Jong clings to and how his choices evolve when survival leaves him no room to retreat.

The production team commented that no actor other than Ha Jung Woo could embody Ki Soo Jong, highlighting anticipation for his distinctive performance that is expected to sustain tension throughout the series.

“Mad Concrete Dreams” is scheduled to premiere on March 14 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
