The upcoming drama Per Aspera Ad Astra was recently presented at a production showcase, where details about its creative team and storyline were revealed. The series is written by Han Yan, Qian Ninghuang, Gao Lu, Liu Dalin, Xu Chen, and Ma Peisi, and stars Wang Hedi and Victoria Song, alongside Zu Feng, Luo Haiqiong, and Wang Duo. Set in a near-future world, the drama explores the collision between virtual dreams and reality through a high-concept adventure narrative.
In the story, a virtual dream system known as “Good Dream” is launched, allowing users to enter customized dream worlds and fulfill their wishes with ease. However, when a crisis leaves multiple users trapped within the system, danger begins to spread. Xu Tianbiao, known as “Biao Ge,” the administrator of the Good Dream system, is forced to awaken spaceship captain Li Simeng, and the two join forces to venture into layered dreamscapes to rescue those who are lost.
Wang Hedi’s character, Xu Tianbiao, is the system’s administrator who appears carefree but proves quick-witted and responsible under pressure. Well-versed in the rules of the dream world, he acts as a guide leading the team through complex dream environments. His character features a variety of looks across different dream settings, adding a touch of humor and visual diversity to the series.
Victoria Song portrays Li Simeng, a spaceship captain who serves as the team’s main source of strength. Decisive and commanding, she is responsible for formulating rescue strategies and maintaining control in critical situations. Her sharp, cool styling reinforces the character’s resolute and capable nature.
During the showcase, the lead actors also shared their thoughts on the drama’s release during the Spring Festival season. The production team expressed hope that the series’ imaginative dream-world adventure, blending science fiction, action, and emotional depth, will offer audiences an engaging and thought-provoking viewing experience during the holiday period.
