Upcoming thriller drama “Mad Concrete Dreams” has released its first stills of Im Soo Jung in character, offering a glimpse into her new role. The series follows a struggling landlord who becomes entangled in crime while trying to protect his family and property. After achieving the long-awaited status of a building owner through heavy loans, mounting debt pressures push him into participating in a staged kidnapping. However, the carefully planned scheme spirals out of control when the fake kidnapping turns dangerously real.

Im Soo Jung stars as Kim Sun, the wife of Ki Soo Jong, played by Ha Jung Woo. Kim Sun is portrayed as a strong and clear-headed woman who remains composed even in times of crisis. Once a nurse, she gave up her career to focus on supporting her daughter Da Rae, who has a hearing impairment. Her primary goal is to help her daughter pursue studies abroad and secure a stable future.

When her husband risks everything to purchase a building through loans, the future Kim Sun envisioned for her family begins to unravel. As his behavior grows increasingly suspicious and he appears to be hiding something about the building, Kim Sun’s doubts deepen. Determined to protect her daughter and family, she takes matters into her own hands. Her quick thinking and unexpected decisions introduce intense drama into the narrative, steering events in directions even Ki Soo Jong does not anticipate.

The newly released stills capture Kim Sun smiling warmly during ordinary family moments, but her expression gradually becomes more guarded and difficult to read, hinting at inner conflict and the weight of her choices. Amid a series of escalating incidents, Im Soo Jung and Ha Jung Woo are expected to showcase realistic and engaging chemistry as a married couple, adding further depth to the story.

The production team shared that Kim Sun grows even bolder in moments of crisis, bringing surprising twists to the plot. Viewers can look forward to seeing a new side of Im Soo Jung through this role.

“Mad Concrete Dreams” is set to premiere on March 14 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
