The tvN drama Undercover Miss Hong, starring Park Shin Hye, continues to build tension as the story heads into a major turning point. Set in the late 1990s, the comedy follows elite financial supervisory officer Hong Geum Bo, who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm suspected of suspicious financial dealings.

In the previous episode, Hong Geum Bo successfully thwarted Hanmin Securities’ attempt to obtain government aid through fraudulent accounting, leaving the company vulnerable amid the escalating IMF crisis. At the same time, her relationship with her boss Bang Jin Mok, played by Kim Do Hyun, grew increasingly strained. After discovering that he was the anonymous whistleblower known as “Yeppi,” Hong Geum Bo found herself at odds with him over their differing values and perspectives. Ultimately, Bang Jin Mok declared that he could no longer assist her in her mission.
Newly released stills hint at a significant shift within the usually easygoing risk management team. Albert Oh, portrayed by Cho Han Gyul, appears solemn as he looks toward Bang Jin Mok, while Lee Yong Gi, played by Jang Do Ha, is seen holding back tears. An emotional embrace between Bang Jin Mok and Lee Yong Gi further suggests a possible farewell, raising questions about whether Bang Jin Mok is truly leaving the team.

The next episode, airing on February 14 at 9:10 p.m. KST, will reveal what lies ahead for the close-knit risk management team.
