The upcoming thriller drama “Mad Concrete Dreams” has unveiled its first stills of Krystal in character, drawing attention from viewers.
The series follows a landlord who becomes entangled in crime while trying to protect his family and property. Burdened by heavy debts, he takes part in a staged kidnapping that quickly spirals out of control, turning dangerously real.
Krystal plays Jeon Yi Kyung, the only daughter of a wealthy family and the wife of Min Hwal Seong (Kim Jun Han). Though she appears cheerful and glamorous on the surface, Yi Kyung harbors an inner emptiness. She maintains a restrained relationship with her boastful husband while assisting her mother, a real-estate investor, in managing business affairs.
Despite having no children of her own, Yi Kyung cares deeply for Da Rae, the hearing-impaired daughter of Ki Soo Jong (Ha Jung Woo) and Kim Sun (Im Soo Jung), treating her like family. However, unforeseen events soon disrupt her seemingly perfect life, setting her on an unpredictable path.
The newly released stills capture Yi Kyung attending banquets and parties in elegant outfits, smiling brightly yet exuding a subtle sense of pride—hinting at the layered complexity of her character.
The production team shared, “Within the suspenseful narrative of ‘Mad Concrete Dreams,’ Krystal will reveal a new side of herself. Please look forward to her portrayal of Jeon Yi Kyung, a character who undergoes dramatic changes.”
