JTBC’s upcoming romance drama Shining has unveiled stills tracing the emotional arc of its leads—from teenage first love to estranged exes who reunite in their thirties.
The series stars Park Jinyoung of GOT7 and Kim Min-ju of IZ*ONE. “Shining” follows young people who once built a world of their own and, over time, become a source of light in each other’s lives.

Yeon Tae Seo (Park Jinyoung) first meets Mo Eun Ah (Kim Min Ju) during the summer of his senior year in high school, when he transfers schools unexpectedly. Both carrying personal burdens and quiet struggles, the two gradually find comfort in one another. What begins as mutual encouragement blossoms into a tender first love.
In newly released stills set in their school days, the pair sit side by side in the library, studying in comfortable silence. Their closeness feels innocent and full of possibility—a portrait of youth where even small moments carry emotional weight.

Yet first love rarely lasts untouched. Subsequent images hint at an impending breakup: Yeon Tae Seo stares at his phone, trying to maintain composure, while Mo Eun Ah—usually bright and smiling—breaks down in tears. The contrast captures the fragile moment when shared dreams begin to fracture.
A final still jumps forward in time, showing the two unexpectedly crossing paths again in their thirties. No longer teenagers, they carry the quiet gravity of lived experience. The reunion raises questions left unresolved by time: Can first love truly fade, or does it simply wait for another season?

The first two episodes of “Shining” will air back-to-back on March 6 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
