Season 11 of the long-running mystery variety show “Who’s the Murderer” has officially announced its premiere date of February 18, airing twice weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. As one of the most enduring Chinese variety franchises, the show returns with a familiar structure and a largely stable cast.

He Jiong continues to anchor the program, joined by veteran players such as Zhang Ruoyun, Da Zhang Wei, Wang Ou, Wei Chen, Yang Rong, and Wei Daxun. While Wu Xin is not listed as a regular this season, she may appear as a guest. Other guest participants include Qi Wei and Wang Mian.
The biggest addition this season is Wang Anyu. Known for his humorous and occasionally chaotic reasoning style in other variety shows, he brings both comedic timing and an approachable personality. Whether he can adapt to the more structured and logic-heavy format of “Who’s the Murderer” remains one of the season’s key points of anticipation.
The show’s format remains straightforward yet effective: each episode presents a self-contained mystery in a live-action role-play setting. Among six players, one serves as the detective and five as suspects, with the true culprit hidden among them. Only the suspects are allowed to lie, and the group must vote to determine the murderer. The real strength of the show lies in its creative storytelling and the cast’s deep immersion in their roles.
However, longtime viewers continue to feel the absence of Sa Beining. His dynamic partnership with He Jiong—often referred to as the “Shuangbei” duo—was marked by witty rivalry and balanced intellect, creating memorable chemistry that many believe has yet to be fully replaced.
With a fresh addition like Wang Anyu and the continued evolution of its veteran cast, Season 11 offers both new excitement and lingering nostalgia. Whether it will feel like a pleasant surprise or a reminder of what’s missing will ultimately be decided once the show airs.
