Netflix’s series “The Art of Sarah” has unveiled a new set of behind-the-scenes and production stills, offering a closer look at the dedication and detailed preparation that shaped the drama’s distinctive atmosphere.

“The Art of Sarah” follows Sarah Kim, portrayed by Shin Hae Sun, a woman determined to reinvent herself as a symbol of luxury and status—even if it requires deception. Opposite her is Mu Gyeong, played by Lee Jun Hyuk, a man intent on uncovering the truth behind her ambitions. The psychological tension between the two characters forms the central axis of the narrative.

Since its release on February 13, the series has demonstrated strong global performance. It ranked No. 3 on Netflix’s Global TOP 10 Non-English Shows chart and topped rankings in South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. In addition, it entered the TOP 10 list in 38 countries, including Bahrain, Peru, Colombia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Kenya, underscoring its growing international appeal.

The newly revealed stills highlight the immersive production process led by director Kim Jin Min. They capture moments of intense focus and collaboration on set, reflecting the cast’s commitment to bringing layered characters to life. Shin Hae Sun, who takes on multiple identities sharing the same face but living entirely different lives, demonstrates a nuanced approach to characterization. From understated styling to poised, sophisticated postures, she carefully differentiates each persona to emphasize their contrasting backgrounds and ambitions.

Lee Jun Hyuk is also seen discussing scenes in depth with director Kim Jin Min, illustrating his careful preparation in portraying Mu Gyeong—a persistent investigator who relentlessly pursues the truth despite increasingly complex and puzzling circumstances.

Other cast members, including Park Bo Kyung, Kim Jae Won, and Bae Jong Ok, are shown engaged in serious conversations with the director as they refine the emotional layers of their characters, each concealing hidden motives beneath composed exteriors. Meanwhile, Lee Yi Dam appears in production stills holding a cocktail glass at a party, smiling brightly—an image that contrasts sharply with the chilling determination her character displays while striving to become “Sarah Kim” within the story.

The visual design of the fictional luxury brand “Boudoir” also stands out in the production stills. The grand interior space, featuring a towering pine tree at the store’s center and sleek display zones for high-end handbags, immediately conveys exclusivity. The Boudoir bag, a key element in the storyline, was selected for its design that effectively communicates wealth, beauty, and even the illusion of status at first glance, symbolically reflecting the glamorous life Sarah Kim longs to claim.

Costume design further enhances the narrative’s visual depth. Costume director Jo Sang Gyeong, known for previous work on “Squid Game” and films such as “No Other Choice” and “Hunt,” crafted distinct wardrobes to separate the identities embodied by Shin Hae Sun’s character. As the actress explained, she portrayed Mok Ga Hee as rustic, Kim Eun Jae as pure and elegant, and Sarah Kim as glamorous—carefully calibrating performance and styling to ensure each persona feels authentic and clearly defined.

Through meticulous character work and refined visual storytelling, “The Art of Sarah” continues to solidify its position as one of the most talked-about non-English series currently on Netflix.
