MBC’s upcoming drama “In Your Radiant Season” has unveiled new stills ahead of its premiere tonight, highlighting the long-awaited reunion between its two leads.
“In Your Radiant Season” tells the story of Sunwoo Chan (Chae Jong Hyeop), a man who lives each day like a vibrant summer vacation, and Song Ha Ran (Lee Sung Kyung), a woman who has shut herself away as if life were an endless winter.
The newly released stills depict a fateful reunion seven years after their separation. Animator Sunwoo Chan visits Korea for a collaboration project with Nana Atelier, where chief designer Song Ha Ran is currently working. While visiting an art museum, Chan pauses in front of a particular artwork, only to find Ha Ran standing beside him, gazing at the same painting. Startled by the unexpected encounter, Chan freezes in shock. In contrast, Ha Ran passes him with an indifferent expression, as though seeing a stranger for the first time.
Later, during a meeting with Nana Atelier’s director Kim Nana (Lee Mi Sook), Chan once again encounters Ha Ran, who attends as the designer in charge of the project. Though finally reunited with the woman who once brought “spring” into his life seven years ago, Chan struggles to conceal his shaken emotions. Meanwhile, Ha Ran grows cautious as she senses the significance behind Chan’s gaze.
The episode will also reveal the incident from seven years ago that altered the course of their lives. While boarding a flight to the United States during a short vacation, Ha Ran was filled with anticipation at the thought of reuniting with someone she loved. However, a sudden explosion turned everything upside down. The traumatic event left her emotionally trapped in a long “winter.” At the time, Chan, who was studying abroad in the United States, also suffered critical injuries in the accident, bringing him to the brink of death. Now, as Chan remains the only one who remembers their shared past, questions arise regarding the hidden truth behind their differing memories and the time they lost.
The production team commented, “Episode 1 will begin with the fateful reunion between Song Ha Ran and Sunwoo Chan, gradually revealing clues about the hidden incident that connects them. The relationships surrounding the characters will also unfold in earnest, and we hope viewers look forward to it.”
“In Your Radiant Season” premieres on February 20 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
