The upcoming KBS2 drama Cabbage Your Life has offered a first look at its script reading, showcasing the cast’s lively chemistry ahead of its premiere.

The drama tells the chaotic yet heartwarming story of Sung Tae Hoon’s city family, who unexpectedly find themselves settling in Yeonriri village while struggling to return to Seoul.

The series will be directed by Choi Yeon Soo, known for Pump Up the Healthy Love, Crazy Love, and Into the Ring. The script is co-written by Song Jeong Rim of My Merry Marriage and Vengeance of the Bride, alongside Wang Hye Ji of Nothing Serious.

Photos from the February 19 script reading feature cast members including Park Sung Woong, Lee Soo Kyung, Lee Seo Hwan, Nam Kwon Ah, Lee Jin Woo, Choi Gyu Ri, Choi Woo Jin, Seo Yoon Hyuk, and Yang Woo Hyuk.

Park Sung Woong takes on the role of Sung Tae Hoon, a devoted father who suddenly relocates his family to the countryside. His witty and heartfelt portrayal energized the room. He shared that the atmosphere felt healing from the very first reading and noted that this marks his third collaboration with Lee Soo Kyung, following “Dog Knows Everything” and the play “Rendez-vous.”

Lee Soo Kyung plays Jo Mi Ryeo, a mother caring for three sons while her husband focuses on work. Despite having no farming experience, she transforms challenges into opportunities, embodying a resilient and resourceful parent. Her realistic on-screen chemistry with Park Sung Woong brought warmth and laughter to the session.

Lee Jin Woo and Choi Gyu Ri will portray Sung Jin Cheon and Im Bo Mi, the children of rival families, preparing to deliver a youthful romance. Meanwhile, Lee Seo Hwan and Nam Kwon Ah appear as village head Im Joo Hyung and his wife Nam Hye Sun, who frequently clash with Sung Tae Hoon’s family, creating both tension and humor.

Choi Woo Jin will play Officer Park, forming a love triangle with Jin Cheon and Bo Mi, while Seo Yoon Hyuk and Yang Woo Hyuk take on the roles of Sung Tae Hoon’s second and youngest sons.

“Cabbage Your Life” is set to premiere on March 26 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
