The upcoming costume fantasy drama Bai Ri Ti Deng (literal translation: “Lanterns in Daylight”), starring Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Feiyu, has officially passed regulatory review. The production is set to begin investment promotions at the end of the month, with a premiere tentatively scheduled for the second quarter.

Adapted from the novel Bai Ri Ti Deng by Li Qingran, the drama tells the story of He Simu (played by Dilraba), the most powerful female spirit lord of Guixu. On the battlefield, she is “rescued” by young general Duan Xu (Chen Feiyu), who mistakes her for a fragile war orphan. Taking advantage of the misunderstanding, He Simu plays along, adopting the guise of a delicate young woman.

Unbeknownst to Duan Xu, He Simu is in fact the Ghost King who has ruled the spirit realm for four centuries. Through the mystical Po Wang Sword, the two become bound by a sensory connection, forming a shared destiny that ties their fates together.
Visually, the series has already sparked discussion thanks to Dilraba’s striking costume designs. Her red ensemble exudes bold elegance, while a contrasting green look highlights a youthful, spirited charm. The refined styling underscores the drama’s strong aesthetic appeal.

One of the story’s central tensions lies in the romance itself: a four-hundred-year-old Ghost King and a mortal general with a limited lifespan. How will they overcome the boundaries of identity and time to walk forward together? The answer is poised to be a key draw for viewers.
In addition to the leading pair, the cast includes Wei Zheming and Zhang Li. Notably, Dilraba and Zhang Li previously collaborated on Xiao Qi Qing Rang, raising expectations for their on-screen dynamic once again.
