Disney+ has officially denied recent reports suggesting that the original series Knock-Off, led by Kim Soo Hyun, is preparing to join the platform’s release lineup within the year.
On February 28, a media outlet reported that Knock-Off, starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah, was in discussions to finalize its broadcast schedule, with the goal of premiering in the first half of the year. The report cited industry and financial sources, claiming that as Disney+ reorganized its major content slate for the first half of 2026, the platform was considering scheduling the long-delayed series as part of that lineup.

According to the same report, Knock-Off had re-entered internal discussions amid adjustments to upcoming original programming. The series, which reportedly carried a production budget of 60 billion won (approximately $40.8 million), was originally slated to premiere in April of last year. However, just one month prior to its scheduled release, the project was placed on indefinite hold.
On March 3, Disney+ responded directly to the claims, stating that reports of the platform preparing to schedule Knock-Off for release this year were not true. The company added that there were no additional updates beyond its previous official statement. As a result, the future broadcast timeline for Knock-Off remains uncertain.
The delay initially followed allegations involving Kim Soo Hyun, who became embroiled in claims that he had dated the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. In the wake of the controversy, the highly anticipated series was suspended, and no confirmed premiere date has since been announced.
