South Korean actor Ahn Hyo Seop is set to attend the Academy Awards for the first time in his career, marking a notable milestone as his work reaches a global stage.
On March 13, reports revealed that Ahn Hyo Seop will depart on the afternoon of March 14 to travel to the United States for the 98th Academy Awards ceremony. The event is scheduled to take place on March 15 (local time) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Shortly after the news emerged, the actor’s agency, The Present Company, confirmed the invitation, stating that Ahn Hyo Seop had been officially invited to attend this year’s Oscars ceremony.
His attendance is connected to the animated Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters, a project that has gained significant international attention. In the film, Ahn Hyo Seop lends his voice to the character Jinu, the leader of the fictional group Saja Boys.
KPop Demon Hunters has secured two nominations at the 98th Academy Awards, including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for the track “Golden.” The recognition places the film among the most prominent animated contenders at this year’s ceremony.
Beyond his voice acting work, Ahn Hyo Seop continues to remain active in television. The actor is currently preparing for the premiere of his upcoming drama Sold Out on You, which is scheduled to debut on April 22.
With both an Oscar-related appearance and a new drama release on the horizon, Ahn Hyo Seop is poised to maintain strong visibility in both international and domestic entertainment circles in the coming months.
