Nine to Six is based on the Chinese drama The Rational Life and centers on a woman who has long prioritized her career over romance. Her life begins to shift when she meets a warm and considerate man, leading to changes in both her professional path and emotional outlook. The project has already drawn attention with Park Min Young and Yook Sungjae in talks to take on the lead roles.
According to reports, Joo Hyun Young has been offered the role of Shin Ji Won, a housewife in her 10th year of marriage and part of a DINK (dual income, no kids) couple. As the close friend of the female lead, her character is known for her candid and straightforward personality, with a lifestyle that reflects both independence and personal conviction.
Shin Ji Won’s storyline is expected to add emotional depth to the narrative. A former bank employee who left her job after marriage, she had initially agreed with her husband not to have children.
