Go Yoon Jung has made a meaningful contribution by donating 50 million KRW (approximately 34,000 USD) to support firefighters and initiatives aimed at preventing PTSD. The donation was announced on March 20 and directed to the Firefighter Family Hope Sharing program.
According to reports, the funds will be used to improve equipment for firefighters as well as to support mental health programs designed to address post-traumatic stress. Through this donation, Go Yoon Jung highlights the importance of both physical safety and psychological well-being for those working in high-risk environments.
The motivation behind Go Yoon Jung’s contribution stems from her personal experience during the filming of The Secret Friends Club. While participating in a “Secret Manito” mission, she set up a cafeteria for firefighters, which allowed her to observe their daily routines and working conditions firsthand. This experience left a strong impression and ultimately influenced her decision to provide support.
In addition, Go Yoon Jung visited a fire station to gain deeper insight into the responsibilities and challenges faced by firefighters. Her agency noted that she recognized the need for support after witnessing the sense of duty and dedication among those working on-site, which further reinforced her decision to donate.
Beyond her charitable activities, Go Yoon Jung continues to maintain a steady presence in the entertainment industry. She is set to appear in the upcoming JTBC weekend drama We Are All Trying Here, where she will take on the role of film producer Byeon Eun A. The series is scheduled to premiere on April 18 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
