JTBC’s upcoming drama Final Table (working title) has officially confirmed its main cast, with Ahn Hyo Seop, Hong Hwa Yeon, Chang Ryul, and Jung Yoo Jin set to headline the series. Blending culinary storytelling with survival competition elements, the drama is already shaping up to be a distinctive entry in the 2026 K-drama lineup.

Set around a global cooking competition titled “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” Final Table follows elite Korean chefs from around the world as they compete for the title of the best chef. The series combines high-stakes rivalry with personal backstories, aiming to deliver both emotional depth and visual spectacle through its food-centered narrative.

Ahn Hyo Seop will take on the role of Kang Han, a chef based overseas who returns to compete after an unexpected turning point in his life. Representing the restaurant Familia, his journey is expected to center on rediscovering identity and proving his culinary philosophy through flavor.

Hong Hwa Yeon plays Choi Song Yi, the hall manager of Familia, who struggles to preserve her late father’s restaurant. Her encounter with Kang Han becomes a key emotional thread, intertwining personal loss with professional ambition.

Meanwhile, Chang Ryul portrays Cha Woo Jin, a perfectionist chef raised as a prodigy, whose intense desire to win positions him as Kang Han’s primary rival. Jung Yoo Jin plays Seon Jung Won, the executive producer behind the competition show, offering a behind-the-scenes perspective on how the contest unfolds.

One of the defining features of Final Table is its hybrid format. The competition within the story is designed to resemble a real-life cooking survival show, allowing viewers to experience both a narrative drama and a reality-style program simultaneously. This structure is expected to heighten immersion while showcasing visually rich culinary sequences.

Scheduled to air in the second half of 2026, Final Table brings together themes of ambition, rivalry, and personal growth, all set against the dynamic backdrop of global cuisine. With its strong cast and innovative format, the drama is already generating anticipation among viewers.
