Lee Young Ae and Yoo Ji Tae are set to reunite on screen for the first time in 25 years in the upcoming drama Jae Yi’s Young In (working title), marking a highly anticipated collaboration for longtime viewers.

On March 23, the production company I Will Media confirmed that both actors will lead the project. The drama is described as a mystery romance that follows two individuals bound by similar emotional wounds, who gradually learn to live again as hidden truths begin to surface.

The reunion carries particular significance as the two previously worked together in the 2001 film One Fine Spring Day, where their understated chemistry left a lasting impression. Their return to a shared narrative—this time with greater emotional depth and maturity—has already drawn considerable attention.

In Jae Yi’s Young In, Lee Young Ae takes on the role of Joo Young In, an art teacher and painter who lives with the lingering grief of losing her son. Her character spends sleepless nights painting murals, using art as both an escape and a means of survival.

Yoo Ji Tae plays Shin Jae Yi, the head of an architecture firm who outwardly appears warm and free-spirited but carries a profound inner void caused by dissociative amnesia. As fragments of his past begin to resurface, he is forced to confront confusion, emotional instability, and long-buried secrets.

The narrative unfolds through the intersection of their lives—two people who, despite their isolation, find connection and gradually uncover the ill-fated ties that bind them. The drama aims to balance emotional storytelling with elements of suspense, creating a layered viewing experience.

According to the production team, the series will focus on delicate emotional expression while maintaining an unpredictable plot structure, positioning Jae Yi’s Young In as a refined entry within the mystery romance genre.

With the reunion of Lee Young Ae and Yoo Ji Tae, the project not only carries nostalgic value but also reflects the evolution of both actors, now returning with a deeper range shaped by years of experience.
