Actors Jung Yoon and Yoon Da Young have offered a closer look at their roles in the upcoming drama Our Happy Days, a multi-generational family series that blends emotional storytelling with themes of personal growth and human connection.
Set against the backdrop of an AI-driven world, Our Happy Days follows characters striving to become the main figures in their own lives while navigating relationships, ambition, and emotional conflicts. Within this narrative, Jung Yoon plays Go Min Ho, the head of the Strategic Planning Division at Kang Soo Construction, while Yoon Da Young takes on the role of Seo Seung Ri, a manager in the same division.

Speaking about his decision to join Our Happy Days, Jung Yoon emphasized his connection to the drama’s central theme of combining technology with human warmth. He described Go Min Ho as a character who lives intensely, noting that this energy was a key factor in his interest in the role. Through Our Happy Days, Jung Yoon aims to present a layered portrayal of a man who appears perfect on the surface but carries internal struggles.
Go Min Ho’s character is defined by contrasts. While he is a third-generation chaebol with an image of perfection, he also harbors a sense of inferiority toward his younger brother and displays unwavering devotion in his personal relationships. As the story unfolds, Jung Yoon will depict the character’s emotional growth, particularly as he navigates unrequited love and a complex dynamic with his brother in the competition to become the company’s successor.
For Yoon Da Young, Our Happy Days represents an opportunity to explore a different side of her acting. She shared that the AI-centered storyline initially drew her to the project, offering a fresh context for character development. In the drama, Seo Seung Ri is portrayed as a composed and rational professional, yet beneath her reserved exterior lies a warm and caring personality.
Yoon Da Young highlighted the duality of her character, explaining that Seo Seung Ri behaves as a cool-headed career woman at work but reveals a softer, more vulnerable side in her personal life. In particular, her long-held feelings for Go Gyeol add an emotional dimension that contrasts with her otherwise controlled demeanor. Through Our Happy Days, Yoon Da Young seeks to balance these contrasting traits in a nuanced performance.

To further embody the role, Yoon Da Young made a notable visual change by cutting her hair into a bob, a transformation she described as helping her fully step into the character. This physical adjustment reflects her effort to align both appearance and performance with the demands of Our Happy Days.
Both actors also pointed to the drama’s broader message as a key point of interest. They expressed hope that viewers will connect with the characters’ journeys as they heal emotional wounds and search for genuine happiness within a technologically advanced world.
Our Happy Days is set to premiere on March 30 at 8:30 p.m. KST, with Jung Yoon and Yoon Da Young expected to contribute to the series’ exploration of family, ambition, and emotional resilience.
