TVING’s upcoming historical drama, ‘Queen Woo’, has sparked immense interest with the unveiling of Jung Yu Mi’s intriguing character. Set to release in two parts, the drama promises a blend of historical intrigue, action, and compelling character dynamics.

The Characters and Setting

‘Queen Woo’ centers around Queen Woo, portrayed by Jeon Jong Seo, who navigates a power struggle following the sudden demise of the king. Targeted by five tribes aiming for supremacy and princes eyeing the throne, the story unfolds with intense drama and riveting action. Alongside Jeon Jong Seo, the series features a stellar cast including Kim Moo Yeol, Ji Chang Wook, Lee Soo Hyuk, Park Ji Hwan, and Jung Yu Mi.

Jung Yu Mi’s Role as Woo Soon

Jung Yu Mi plays Woo Soon, the elder sister of Queen Woo, and the head of the palace maids. Known as the most beautiful woman in the northern region, Woo Soon’s life takes an unexpected turn when her sister ascends to the throne. Once assured of her own queenship, Woo Soon harbors ambitions to reclaim what she believes is rightfully hers.

Plot and Anticipation

The series portrays Woo Soon’s journey as she serves her sister closely while secretly plotting to rise to power. Although she attempts to win the favor of King Go Nam Moo, played by Ji Chang Wook, her plans are disrupted by his untimely death.
