Recent reports from local news outlets reveal that Song Hye Kyo, the acclaimed South Korean actress, has experienced a significant surge in the value of one of her properties. Since its purchase in 2021, the property located within the prestigious Hannam the Hill apartment complex has appreciated by 6 billion won (approximately US$4.5 million).
Details of the Acquisition
According to the South Korean newspaper News1, Song Hye Kyo acquired the property for 19.5 billion won, approximately US$15 million, in 2021. The building, which spans over 494 square meters, is now valued at 25.5 billion won, marking a remarkable increase in the actress’s real estate portfolio within a short time. The property itself was constructed in 1989 and underwent significant renovations, culminating in a complete rebuild in 2014, resulting in two basement levels and four above-ground floors.

In addition to the Hannam the Hill property, Song Hye Kyo boasts a diverse portfolio that includes an upscale apartment in Seoul’s Gangnam district, a residence in New York, and various other properties.
