Highlights from the Ceremony
The 2025 Blue Dragon Film Awards marked a significant event in the Korean film industry, held on November 29 at KBS Hall in Yeouido. Hosted by esteemed figures Lee Je Hoon and Han Ji Min, the night showcased exceptional talent and celebrated remarkable contributions to cinema.
Major Winners of the Evening
This year, two films stood out, as both “12.12: The Day” and “Exhuma” won four awards each. “12.12: The Day” was particularly notable, clinching the prestigious Best Picture award alongside Best Actor for Hwang Jung Min, Best Editing, and the Audience Choice Award for Most Popular Film. Meanwhile, “Exhuma” dazzled in categories such as Best Director, awarded to Jang Jae Hyun, Best Actress for Kim Go Eun, as well as accolades for Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography and Lighting.

The ceremony also recognized other outstanding performances and achievements: Jung Hae In secured the Best Supporting Actor title for his role in “I, The Executioner,” and Lee Sang Hee earned Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal in “My Name is Loh Kiwan.” New talents were acknowledged as Noh Sang Hyun and Park Ju Hyun took the Best New Actor and Best New Actress awards respectively. Additionally, Cho Hyun Chul’s contributions to “The Dream Songs” garnered him recognition for Best New Director and Best Screenplay.
