The 46-year-old entrepreneur was awarded the rank of Chevalier of the Ordre du Mérite Agricole in a ceremony officiated by Annie Genevard, the French Minister of Agriculture, in Paris. Beginning the Year of the Snake with auspicious tidings, Liu accepted her medal while adorned in an elegant black dress featuring a white embroidery motif. Following the ceremony, she took to social media to express her heartfelt gratitude to her supporters. The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong also joined in congratulating her on social platforms, reflecting the warm regard for her achievements.
A Journey from Acting to Winemaking
Before embarking on her journey as a winemaker, Bernice Liu was crowned Miss Chinese International in 2001 and transitioned to Hong Kong to pursue a career in acting. She starred in popular TVB dramas, including ‘Virtues of Harmony’ and ‘Into Thin Air,’ before leaving the network in 2011. Although she continued to partake in various acting projects, Liu eventually shifted her focus to her business ventures, gaining prominence in the world of winemaking. Today, she is renowned for her award-winning Bellavizio Wines and also serves as a respected wine critic, solidifying her place in the industry she passionately promotes.
