Official Announcement from Pledis Entertainment
On July 8, 2023, Pledis Entertainment made a significant announcement regarding members Hoshi and Woozi from the popular K-pop group Seventeen. The agency confirmed that both artists will commence their mandatory military service starting this September.

Enlistment Dates and Final Activities
Woozi is scheduled for active duty on September 15, while Hoshi will follow just one day later on September 16. Before they enlist, fans can catch them performing at the “Hoshi x Woozi Fan Concert [Warning]” and during the video call fan signing for Seventeen’s fifth studio album, Yizhiyu. These events will mark their final official activities as group members before they start their service.
Connection with Fans During Service
Although Hoshi and Woozi will begin their military enlistment and step back from group activities, Pledis Entertainment assures fans that both members will remain connected with CARAT through various pre-recorded content. Fans are encouraged to share their messages of encouragement and farewell on Weverse as a way to support the artists during their time in service.
As a reminder to the public, due to the presence of numerous enlistees and their families at the enlistment ceremony, Pledis respectfully requests that fans refrain from visiting the site in person. Continued love and support for Hoshi and Woozi is greatly appreciated, and it is hoped that both members will have a safe and healthy return to the group. Seventeen continues to evolve, having experienced member enlistments in the past, and fans are reminded of the strength of their community through this transition in their career.
