Exciting news for drama fans! Kim Go Eun may soon star alongside Kang Dong Won in a new drama titled “Soul” (working title).
On July 21, Xportsnews reported that Kim Go Eun has been cast in the project. In response, her agency BH Entertainment clarified, “It is true that she received an offer for ‘Soul’. She is currently reviewing it.”
The drama will be penned by renowned screenwriter Park Ji Eun, known for creating hits like “My Love From the Star,” “The Producers,” “Crash Landing on You,” and “Queen of Tears.” It will be directed by Kim Won Suk, the director behind critically acclaimed series such as “Misaeng,” “Signal,” “My Mister,” and “When Life Gives You Tangerines.” The show is expected to be a unique blend of historical and romance genres.
Earlier in May, reports suggested that Kang Dong Won was offered the male lead role, though no official confirmation has been made.
Meanwhile, Kim Go Eun is busy preparing for the release of two upcoming Netflix series, “You and Everything Else” and “The Price of Confession,” both set to premiere later this year. She is also confirmed to return in “Yumi’s Cells 3,” scheduled for release next year.
