SBS has dropped fresh stills and new character details from its upcoming romantic comedy Would You Marry Me, starring Jung So Min and Choi Woo Shik — and fans are already excited.
In this quirky, high-stakes love story, Choi Woo Shik plays Kim Woo Joo, the heir to Korea’s oldest bakery, while Jung So Min takes on the role of Yoo Mary, a scrappy small business owner who proposes a 90-day fake marriage — all for the chance to win a luxurious newlywed home.
Yoo Mary is the CEO (and only employee) of her tiny design company, Mary Design. From sales to logistics, she does it all. Determined to survive and succeed, she takes on any job that comes her way — even if that means donning a giant red crab mask and gloves to pitch her ideas at a seafood festival, as seen in the newly released stills.
Her drive for success reaches new heights when she convinces Kim Woo Joo — coincidentally, the same name as her ex-fiancé — to become her contract husband for 90 days.
The production team had high praise for Jung So Min’s casting, stating,
“No one could have replaced Jung So Min for this role. Her performance perfectly captures Yoo Mary’s blend of practicality and charm.”
Would You Marry Me is scheduled to premiere this October on SBS. Stay tuned for more updates on this unconventional love story with a twist.
