Hong Jong Hyun is officially joining the cast of the upcoming Channel A romantic comedy Positively Yours.
On September 22, SECRET ENT confirmed, “Hong Jong Hyun will be starring in Channel A’s Positively Yours as Lee Min Wook,” following reports from industry insiders.
Based on a popular webtoon, Positively Yours tells the story of a man and a woman who both swore off marriage—only to find themselves unexpectedly entangled after a one-night stand. Choi Jin Hyuk plays Kang Doo Joon, the male lead, with Oh Yeon Seo starring as Jang Hee Won, the female lead.
Hong Jong Hyun will take on the role of Lee Min Wook, Jang Hee Won’s longtime friend, forming a romantic triangle at the heart of the story.
He replaces Yun Ji On, who was originally cast in the role but stepped down following drunk driving charges. The production team has announced plans to reshoot scenes previously filmed by Yun Ji On.
Positively Yours is set to blend humor, romance, and emotional complexity, with a cast that now brings together both established stars and fresh dynamics.
