MBC’s highly anticipated historical fantasy romance “Moon River” has just dropped a fresh set of posters, giving viewers a peek into the quirky dynamic between its two leads — and their swapped souls.
Set in a whimsical Joseon-era backdrop, “Moon River” tells the story of Crown Prince Yi Kang, a young royal who’s forgotten how to smile, and Park Dal Yi, a spirited peddler who’s lost her memory. A mysterious twist of fate causes their souls to switch, launching both into a journey of identity, empathy, and unexpected romance.

Kang Tae Oh transforms into Crown Prince Yi Kang, a character defined by his stoicism and internal struggles. Opposite him, Kim Se Jeong plays the free-spirited Park Dal Yi, whose quick wit and street smarts make her a perfect foil to the prince’s more reserved nature.
The newly released posters capture the contrast between the two characters — and the chaos that ensues when their lives are flipped. In one poster, Yi Kang is seen grumpily holding Park Dal Yi like a paper doll, symbolizing his initial discomfort and confusion after the soul swap.

Another playful image features Park Dal Yi dressed in royal garb, confidently cradling a now-peasant Yi Kang. Her mischievous grin contrasts with his dazed expression, capturing the drama’s humorous take on what it means to truly walk in someone else’s shoes.
A special poster takes the visual storytelling even further: Yi Kang appears to be perched on top of Park Dal Yi’s oversized woven bamboo hat, clutching onto a dangling cotton tassel for balance. The background, painted in an ink wash landscape style, blends traditional aesthetics with the drama’s imaginative tone. Park Dal Yi’s bright, curious eyes paired with Yi Kang’s alarmed face set the tone for a series filled with heart and hilarity.
Touted as “a chaotic, soul-swapping romance between complete opposites,” “Moon River” promises a blend of fantasy, emotional growth, and offbeat comedy.
“Moon River” is scheduled to premiere on October 31 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
