Plot Overview

‘Awakening’ is an occult-themed drama revolving around a high school girl who transfers to an esteemed institution in Daechi-dong, known for its rigorous educational standards. The story escalates when she begins using stimulants to enhance her academic performance, leading to an unexpected consequence: the ability to hear the voices of the deceased. This intriguing premise not only delves into the supernatural but also offers commentary on the pressures faced by students in an elite academic environment.

Cast and Characters

In addition to Ryu Da In, Lee Jun Hyuk is also a key figure in the drama. Earlier this year, his agency disclosed that he is contemplating the role of Antonio, a newly appointed priest at the school’s chapel, who secretly assumes the role of an exorcist. The addition of Oh Ye Ju, reported to play another transfer student, further enriches the ensemble. However, her agency has yet to provide an official statement regarding her participation.

The rising interest in ‘Awakening’ showcases the appeal of occult narratives and the strong performances expected from the cast. As details unfold, fans and viewers alike eagerly await the official announcements surrounding this exciting project.
