In today’s entertainment world, few young actors can move effortlessly between theater and television — and Zhang Keying is one of them.

Though the daughter of acclaimed actress Kaili, Zhang has never relied on her family background. Instead, she’s built her reputation through dedication and genuine passion for acting.

On stage, Zhang has delivered remarkable performances in plays such as The Wilderness, Zhengyang Bookstore, Les Misérables, and Warsaw Melody. Her roles range from complex women to deeply emotional characters, earning her recognition as a true stage actress. “The stage is my training ground,” she once said, emphasizing her belief in learning through every performance.

Zhang later brought her refined craft to the screen with standout roles in A Journey to Meet Love, The Legendary Tavern, Lucky With You, and I Only Like You. Her portrayal of He Xingyun in The Story of Xingfu earned her a Golden Eagle Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, while her performance in Warm and Sweet gained further critical praise. She was also selected for the 2024 “Star Sea” Young Actor Program at the Golden Rooster Awards.

Most recently, her emotional depth in North Wind of Yi Yi captured audience attention, especially her nuanced crying scenes that conveyed vulnerability and strength.

While she’s often labeled a “second-generation star,” Zhang continues to define herself through perseverance and skill. By focusing on her craft rather than her lineage, she’s proving to audiences that she’s not just Kaili’s daughter — but a talented actress in her own right, steadily earning her place in both theater and film.
