Nagano Mei has officially returned to the spotlight with a new Netflix film project, which began shooting this year. This marks her comeback after a period of silence following news of her relationships with Tanaka Kei and later, Sakaguchi Kentaro.
The film is directed by the talented Kobayashi Keiichi, a director with years of experience in television, advertising, and music videos. He has also worked on several feature films, with his most recent project being *Ojo to Banken-kun* (2025), starring Fukumoto Riko and Jesse.
This Netflix project was already in development before the media storm surrounding Nagano’s love life broke out. Even after reports in September revealed her involvement in a complicated love triangle with Sakaguchi, Netflix stood firm in their decision to cast her in the leading role. The filming is expected to take about two months.
