Actor Bae Hyeon Seong is reportedly in discussions to join Kim Hyun Joo in Paradise Lost (working title), the latest project from Train to Busan director Yeon Sang Ho.
According to reports on November 24, Bae Hyeon Seong has received an offer for the film and is reviewing it positively. His agency confirmed that he is “considering the role with interest.”

The film is based on a popular novel derived from an original story co-written by Yeon Sang Ho and writer Ryu Yong Jae, known for works such as Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area and Parasyte: The Grey. Blending suspense and psychological tension, Paradise Lost explores the increasingly blurred boundary between virtual and real worlds, and the rising conflict between artificial intelligence and humanity.
At its core, the film follows a mother–son relationship. Kim Hyun Joo is already confirmed to play the mother, and should Bae Hyeon Seong accept the role, he would portray her son—forming the emotional heart of the narrative.
If finalized, this project would mark Bae Hyeon Seong’s second collaboration with Yeon Sang Ho. He previously made a special appearance in Hellbound Season 2, in which Kim Hyun Joo also starred.
Paradise Lost is scheduled to begin filming early next month.
