The second live-action film in the Golden Kamuy series, Golden Kamuy: Abashiri Kangoku Shugeki-hen, led by Yamazaki Kento, has released its official poster and trailer. It was also announced that the theme song, “Kowarete Kieru made,” will be performed by 10-FEET.

Based on Noda Satoru’s manga, the story is set in Meiji-era Hokkaido and follows former soldier Sugimoto Saichi (played by Yamazaki) and Asirpa, the Ainu girl who journeys with him, as they search for a vast hidden treasure left behind by the Ainu people. The first film hit theaters in January 2024, while its continuation aired as a television drama on WOWOW in October of the same year.
Yamada Anna reprises her role as Asirpa, joining a large ensemble cast that includes Maeda Gordon, Kudo Asuka, Yanagi Shuntaro, Shiono Akihisa, Yamoto Yuma, Otani Ryohei, Takahashi Maryjun, Sakurai Yuki, Katsuya, Nakagawa Taishi, Kitamura Kazuki, Ikeuchi Hiroyuki, Kiba Katsumi, Iura Arata, Tamaki Hiroshi, and Tachi Hiroshi.
Golden Kamuy: Abashiri Kangoku Shugeki-hen is scheduled for theatrical release on March 13, 2026, with an IMAX version launching simultaneously.
