Crime film Project Y has released new stills of Jeon Jong Seo, spotlighting her striking duality in the role of Do Kyung. Set amid the dazzling excess of Seoul’s Gangnam district, the film follows best friends Mi Seon (Han So Hee) and Do Kyung (Jeon Jong Seo) as they plot an audacious heist to steal 8 billion won (approximately $5.45 million) in gold bars and disappear for good.

The newly unveiled stills capture Do Kyung’s contrasting sides—her soft, fleeting smile and her tough, raw charisma in a signature red jacket. She makes her living with remarkable driving skills and shares a humble life with Mi Seon as the two scrape together savings with relentless determination. But when the world blindsides them and they lose everything, Do Kyung devises a dangerous plan: to steal illicit money belonging to CEO To (Kim Sung Cheol). Their lives spiral even further when they accidentally stumble upon a stash of gold bars, turning them into fugitives.
Jeon Jong Seo shared, “Throughout the film, Do Kyung faces one unexpected situation after another with Mi Seon. I focused on portraying her instant, instinctive reactions—shaping her as someone desperately fighting for survival.”

Director Lee Hwan praised the actress’s interpretation, adding, “During the very first shoot, the version of Do Kyung that Jeon Jong Seo created was somewhat different from what I had initially imagined—but it made complete sense. It allowed me, as a director, to rethink the character with more freedom,” raising anticipation for her performance.
Project Y is set to premiere on January 21, 2026.
