On December 24, the Community Chest of Korea announced that actor Ahn Bo Hyun donated 100 million won and joined its Honor Society, the organization’s high-value individual donor club, becoming its 3,800th member.

The donation will be allocated to programs aimed at preventing blindness among children and adolescents from low-income households. Specifically, the funds will help cover surgical costs for pediatric eye conditions such as cataracts, retinal disorders, and strabismus, as well as provide rehabilitation support for children with low vision, enabling them to regain healthy eyesight and return to everyday life.
Ahn Bo Hyun shared that he has long hoped to give back the love and support he has received from the public, adding that he wishes his contribution could be of even small help to those in need. He also expressed his intention to continue spreading warmth throughout society through ongoing acts of giving.
The actor has consistently engaged in charitable activities over the years. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he donated 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to social welfare facilities, and in 2022, he contributed sanitary products worth 50 million won, continuing his steady support for marginalized communities.
Meanwhile, Ahn Bo Hyun recently won Best New Actor at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his performance in the film Pretty Crazy. He is also set to appear in tvN’s upcoming Monday–Tuesday drama Spring Fever, scheduled to premiere on January 5.
