On January 2, Mnet officially announced that Wanna One, the project group formed through “Produce 101 Season 2,” will return with a new reality show scheduled for release in the first half of 2026.

According to a representative from the network, the idea came about as the members discussed ways to reunite with their fans, known as Wannables. During these conversations, they agreed that a reality program—one of the formats most loved by fans—would be the most meaningful way to reconnect.
Mnet stated that preparations for the program are currently underway, with the goal of broadcasting it in the first half of 2026. Specific details, including the exact schedule and format, will be announced once they are finalized.
Wanna One debuted in August 2017 as a project group born from the audition program “Produce 101 Season 2.” Although their official activities lasted less than a year and a half, the group achieved remarkable popularity and left a lasting impact on the K-pop industry. Speculation about a reunion intensified on January 1, when Mnet released a teaser video bearing the phrase “2026 COMING SOON,” featuring imagery closely associated with Wanna One’s signature visuals. The newly confirmed reality show now gives clearer context to that teaser.
As plans move forward, anticipation continues to build around how Wanna One will reunite on screen and what kind of stories and chemistry the upcoming program will showcase.
