The upcoming film “Gardeners” (working title) has officially confirmed its cast, bringing together Song Kang Ho, Koo Kyo Hwan, Song Seung Heon, Lee Kwang Soo, Shin Hyun Been, and Lee Jae In. The diverse lineup of acclaimed actors has already drawn significant attention.

“Gardeners” centers on Choi Young Il, a quiet civil servant whose only hobby is growing plants. Living a simple and orderly life, he unexpectedly teams up with a notorious local troublemaker to start an unconventional gardening business. What begins as a small venture soon disrupts the peace of their neighborhood, triggering a series of unforeseen events. The film will be directed by Nam Dong Hyup, who previously stood out for “Handsome Guys,” a project praised for its distinctive blend of comedy and occult elements.
Song Kang Ho stars as Choi Young Il, a seemingly ordinary plant-loving public servant. Koo Kyo Hwan plays Kim Moon Ho, a local figure known for causing accidents and incidents wherever he appears. Song Seung Heon takes on the role of Han Chung Yong, a former music industry superstar who fell from grace after a pivotal incident. Lee Kwang Soo portrays CEO Song, the owner of a lottery shop who also manages distribution as a business partner in the gardening venture.
Shin Hyun Been appears as Kang Mi Ae, a restaurant owner harboring a dangerous secret, while Lee Jae In makes a special appearance as Eun Soo, Choi Young Il’s daughter, adding emotional depth to the narrative.
“Gardeners” is currently in pre-production, with filming scheduled to begin in 2026.
