The drama Love Me, a remake of Swedish writer Josephine Bornebusch’s original series, tells the story of a seemingly self-centered yet deeply relatable family, following each member’s journey through love, vulnerability, and personal growth. As the narrative unfolds, the relationship between Seo Jun Kyung, played by Seo Hyun Jin, and Ju Do Hyun, portrayed by Chang Ryul, reaches a critical crossroads with marriage entering the picture.

In the previous episode, Ju Do Hyun confided in his close junior Jung Hoon about his hesitation toward marriage. With a child already part of his life, he felt unable to make decisions based solely on his own feelings. Seo Jun Kyung’s long-standing emotional restraint only made him more cautious. Jung Hoon’s candid advice—“If you want to know how she truly feels, propose”—ultimately pushed Do Hyun to take a decisive step.

Ahead of the upcoming broadcast, newly released stills hint at an emotionally heavy proposal rather than a joyful one. Do Hyun is seen purchasing a ring and preparing for the moment, yet his expression reveals inner conflict instead of excitement. Jun Kyung, dressed in dark clothing and a hat, receives the ring with a somber demeanor. Even as Do Hyun slips the ring onto her finger, her gaze suggests unresolved thoughts rather than certainty.

Complicating matters further is the return of Do Hyun’s ex-girlfriend Im Yoon Ju, who is also the biological mother of his son Daniel. Her reappearance in Korea, driven by a desire to reconnect, introduces new tension at a moment when Do Hyun and Jun Kyung are already grappling with a life-altering decision.

According to the production team, the episode will candidly explore both characters’ feelings about marriage. Faced with a choice they approach with more hesitation than confidence, the couple will be forced to confront yet another difficult question following an unexpected incident. What marriage ultimately comes to mean for them—and what consequences it may bring—will be central to the story.

The next episode of Love Me airs on January 16 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
