The upcoming drama The Practical Guide to Love has released new stills of Lee Ki Taek in character, offering a closer look at a man who chooses freedom over fame—and finds his beliefs unexpectedly challenged by love.

The series centers on Lee Ui Yeong (played by Han Ji Min), a woman who decides to actively pursue romance and enters the world of blind dates. As she encounters two men with completely different charms, she becomes torn between them, setting off a journey toward understanding what true love really means.

Lee Ki Taek portrays Shin Ji Su, a younger man defined by his free-spirited personality and relaxed energy. A theater actor by profession, Shin Ji Su also works various part-time jobs during the off-season, crafting a life that prioritizes autonomy over ambition. With his balanced appearance and distinctive charm, he stands out both on and off the stage.

Despite receiving offers that acknowledge his potential as an actor, Shin Ji Su consistently turns them down. For him, fame is less appealing than a life lived on his own terms. This deliberate choice reflects his deeply rooted belief in freedom and personal space.

That carefully maintained balance begins to shift after a chance blind date brings him face to face with Lee Ui Yeong. Drawn to her in ways he never anticipated, Shin Ji Su starts to experience emotions that challenge the convictions he has long held onto. As feelings grow, the question arises: can he preserve his freedom while opening himself up to love?

In the newly released stills, Lee Ki Taek captures attention with subtle charisma. Whether glancing casually across a café, leaning against a table with curiosity in his eyes, or focusing intently on someone while dressed comfortably, his expressions hint at the layered nature of Shin Ji Su’s character. Even small details—such as being recommended as a blind date in a casual chat—underscore his unique appeal. The Practical Guide to Love is set to premiere on February 28 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
