Kim Hye Soo, Kim Ji Hoon, Cho Yeo Jeong, and Kim Jae Chul have been confirmed to star in the upcoming drama The Affair Is Not the Problem Right Now

On January 5, the production team announced that the project had been officially greenlit and revealed its main cast lineup. The drama is described as a black comedy driven by escalating chain reactions, centering on a popular influencer couple known for selling the image of a perfect family and their next-door neighbors—a doctor couple locked in a bitter divorce—who become entangled in an overwhelming secret that makes even an affair seem insignificant.

Kim Hye Soo plays Kyung Hee, the ambitious CEO of an interior design company and a well-known influencer eager for greater success.

Cho Yeo Jeong stars as Soo Jung, a dermatologist living across the hall who endures everything to protect her only daughter.

Kim Ji Hoon takes on the role of Jae Hong, Kyung Hee’s husband, an actor living in the shadow of his wife’s success.

Kim Jae Chul portrays Bo Sung, Soo Jung’s ex-husband, who is willing to go to any lengths to regain custody of their daughter.

Although the four characters appear to be caught up in an affair, a series of hidden secrets gradually comes to light, pulling them into unpredictable and escalating situations. The drama is expected to highlight the cast’s on-screen chemistry through performances that bring each character’s desires to the surface.

The Affair Is Not the Problem Right Now is scheduled to premiere later this year.
