Recent online reports suggest that actor Zhang Linghe may join the next season of the variety show Keep Running as a regular cast member, sparking widespread discussion. As one of China’s longest-running and most-watched variety programs, any change in the show’s fixed lineup inevitably draws public attention.

Since its launch, Keep Running has maintained strong popularity. The early seasons featured a stable lineup including Deng Chao, Angelababy, Li Chen, Chen He, Zheng Kai, Wang Baoqiang, and Wang Zulan, creating a highly recognizable team dynamic. Over the years, many original members have departed, with Li Chen and Zheng Kai remaining as long-term participants, while new faces have been introduced to sustain the show’s momentum.

During the previous season, rumors circulated that the production team was not entirely satisfied with some cast members’ availability and engagement, as conflicting schedules led to absences during filming. This marked a noticeable contrast to the show’s earlier years, when joining Keep Running was considered a rare opportunity.

According to recent leaks, filming for the upcoming season is expected to begin soon. It has also been reported that longtime sponsor Ambrosial Yogurt may step down, with Wanglaoji taking over as the new title sponsor. Zhang Linghe, notably, is a brand ambassador for Wanglaoji, which many viewers interpret as a possible hint toward his involvement with the program.

Zhang Linghe previously appeared on Keep Running as a guest and received positive feedback for his variety skills and on-screen presence. While many fans welcome the idea of him becoming a regular member, others point out that the addition of a new cast member could indicate adjustments to the existing lineup.

Amid these discussions, attention has turned to Zhou Shen. Past controversies during the show, combined with subtle changes in official promotional posts, have led some viewers to question whether he will continue in the next season. Zhou Shen has been praised for his dedication and strong rapport with audiences, making the possibility of his departure a topic of concern among fans.

That said, cast changes have been a recurring part of Keep Running’s evolution from its early Running Man China days to the present. While speculation continues, the production team has yet to officially confirm the regular cast lineup for the upcoming season.
