On February 24, Sports Chosun reported that Song Kang is in talks to star as the lead of the upcoming romance drama “White Scandal” (literal translation).
In response, his agency Namoo Actors stated, “Song Kang has received an offer to star in ‘White Scandal,’ and he is currently reviewing it.”
Based on a popular web novel of the same name, the drama follows Ji Eun Seol, a former rising child actress who fell from grace after taking responsibility for her older brother’s crimes. Refusing to give up on her dreams, she continues working as a road manager and eventually reunites with Dan Yi Hyuk, the central figure in the past incident. The two enter a contractual relationship while uncovering hidden truths.
The series will be penned by Kim Ga Eun, known for Call It Love, and directed by Kim Chul Gyu of Flower of Evil.
Song Kang has reportedly been offered the role of Dan Yi Hyuk, South Korea’s top star and the illegitimate child of the NB Group. In an effort to honor his mother’s final wishes and remove himself from the line of succession, he begins a contractual relationship with Ji Eun Seol.
Following his military service, Song Kang is currently filming his upcoming drama “Four Hands.” Having gained recognition through projects such as Love Alarm, My Demon, and Nevertheless, anticipation is building for what could become his first romance project after enlistment.
