Joochan of Golden Child will be leaving Woollim Entertainment following the expiration of his exclusive contract.
On February 26, Woollim Entertainment released an official statement announcing that Joochan’s contract with the agency had come to an end. After what the company described as a long period of sincere and in-depth discussions, both sides mutually agreed to respect each other’s future paths and move forward separately.
The agency expressed gratitude for the time spent working with Joochan, thanking him for his dedication, passion, and hard work throughout his activities as an artist. Woollim Entertainment also stated that it will continue to sincerely support him as he begins a new chapter in his career.
In addition, the company extended its appreciation to fans who have consistently shown Joochan love and support, asking for continued interest and encouragement for his future endeavors.
Golden Child has experienced a series of departures over the past year. In August 2024, Woollim Entertainment announced that Bomin, TAG, and Jibeom would be leaving both the group and the agency following the expiration of their contracts. In December 2024, Daeyeol, Y, Seungmin, Jaehyun, and Donghyun also parted ways with the company.
With Joochan’s departure, Jangjun remains the only Golden Child member still under Woollim Entertainment.
