“The King’s Warden” has exceeded 8 million moviegoers less than a month after its theatrical release.
According to data released by the Korean Film Council on the morning of March 1 KST, the film has recorded a total of 8,006,235 admissions. Originally released on February 4, the movie reached the 8 million milestone on its 26th day in theaters.

Director Jang Hang Jun shared his appreciation, stating, “I’m truly grateful to the audiences who have shown so much love for ‘The King’s Warden.’ Reaching 8 million moviegoers is a number that neither I nor the cast and crew could have imagined. We are spending each day with hearts full of gratitude.”
To celebrate the achievement, the starring cast released handwritten messages thanking viewers for their continued support. Since its premiere, the film has maintained steady word-of-mouth momentum and box office growth.
